Autonomous Emergency Braking (FCA)

For added versatility, there’s a clever luggage rail system to keep your bags safely secured.

A hatch behind the centre armrest makes transporting skis and other long objects easy – even with four people on board.

-
Front Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
Front-mounted radar and camera systems scan the road ahead for preceding vehicles and crossing pedestrians. FCA automatically initiates emergency braking to minimize the chances of a serious crash, or reduce its consequences. The standard FCA responds to the presence of a preceding vehicle via the front camera, optionally available with radar, which adds the ability to detect the presence of pedestrians.
-
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
FCW uses the front camera to detect the potential for any frontal collision and alert the driver of the danger. AEB initiates emergency braking to avoid or minimize the effects of any such collision.
-
Adaptive Smart Cruise Control (SCC)
Maintains a set distance to the preceding vehicle, automatically reducing or increasing speed up to a pre-set limit. In “stop & go” traffic, the pre-determined distance is maintained by SCC after coming to a standstill, automatically restarting the motor when forward movement ahead is detected.
-
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
The system contributes to active safety by avoiding unintentional lane departures caused by driver distractions. LKA warns the driver acoustically and visually before inducing a corrective steering force.
-
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)
Sensors mounted in the rear bumper detect the proximity of any vehicle obscured in the blind spot and trigger a warning light in the relevant door mirror. An acoustic signal immediately sounds if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.
-
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW)
When reverse gear is selected, Rear Cross Traffic Alert also helps identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the side.

Rearview Camera
Look forward to reversing. The rear-view camera activates when reverse is selected, so you can see where you’re going on the floating screen. Dynamic guidelines help to keep you on track, resulting in perfect parking every time.
-
Electric parking brake
The Electronic Parking Brake is effortless in its operation and allows for more storage space in the front centre console. The Auto Hold function automatically maintains braking pressure once the vehicle has been brought to a complete stop, ensuring that the vehicle will not creep forwards or roll backwards even with the brake pedal released. The brakes are then released once the driver steps on the accelerator pedal.
-
Rear Air Vents
Keep everybody happy. The i30 Wagon features rear vents to keep passengers in the backseat comfortable. Located on the back of the centre console, rear passengers can control the flow of warm or cool air exactly how they want it.
-
Memory Seats
Just the way you like it – every time. The Driver Position Memory System lets you save your preferred driver’s seat position as well as the outside rear view mirror position and instrument panel illumination intensity. Just press the button and the system automatically adjusts to the stored settings for Driver 1 or Driver 2.
